The Live browser has always been a bit of a pain – but in Live 9, the entire browsing interface has had serious attention given to it, making it way easier to find what you’re looking for. This might seem basic – but not having to use stepped or linear automation anymore will absolutely be a major improvement for many. The second upgrade is the ability to draw in curves in the automation for a clip. This will be awesome for live looping and performance- and is something that a lot of producers have loved about the Korg KP3 Kaoss Pads for a few years now. First, the ability to record automation into clips in real time – allowing you to tweak your controller’s knobs and record that automation for continued playback.
